Meet your photographer, Heather!
I have always had passion for photography ever since I was little. From documenting every day life; to family pictures, to pets, to my older brothers birthday parties, I always had my camera on me! My dream and end goal was to become a wedding photographer to capture those special moments that last a lifetime.
I started out as a hobbyist and did photoshoots of friends and family for many years. I took on a few "jobs" here and there within the last 10 years, charging just the bare minimum. Within the last couple years I took my photography extremally serious and started my official business of Simply Captured Photography.
Within those years I lOVED to photograph just about anything. I have done it all; from boudoirs, to families, to kids, to pets, to seniors, to branding, to couples and portraits.
Fast Forward to 2025; I accepted my first wedding and it was everything I dreamt of!
A little about me!
In 2016 I married my best friend and biggest supporter, Zach.
We knew of each other for many years as we both attended the Forest Lake school district; where we both graduated high school from.
In 2012, we got really close when Zach came back from his deployment and finished his military career, soon after we started dating.
A year later we were blessed with our oldest son, Ryder. Ryder is now almost 12 and enjoys all the things pre- teen boys love. He loves playing basketball, being outside & playing his video games.
On our one year anniversary we had the best gift of all; and welcomed our youngest son, Zayden to the world. Zayden is almost 8 and also loves the outdoors, fishing and basketball.
As a family we love being outdoors whether if its; camping, fishing or just going on a family walk around the neighborhood.
In 2025 we also added a fur baby to our family, named Duke! Duke loves to cuddle and playing with other dogs and tear up any and all of his toys ;)

As a newer wedding photographer I knew I couldn't capture all of those special moments by myself!
After numerous conversations and knowing Trisha's recent passion for photography. I have decided to add my best friend since grade school to help capture these special moments together!
Not only is Trisha my second photographer ,but she is also my assistant - she helps with behind the scenes and other events as well!

Not only is Trisha a sweetheart but she is a super fun and outgoing person that everyone wants to be around!
Trisha graduated from Forest Lake High school with Heather in 2006.
She loves to hang out with her family; Dave, her boyfriend & Tristen who is now 18 and her almost 3 year old Sydney; aka Heathers " little bestie".
When Trisha isn't taking pictures, she loves to go thrifting for her online eBay store!
